The Beaches Runners Club


group-shotThe Toronto Beaches Runners Club has grown from a few initial members in 2009 to well over 200 now! It’s no surprise we keep growing as we live in one of the nicest running neighborhood in Toronto! The ‘BRC’ is primarily a social running club. We do like to run and there are members of all levels to run with. We are quickly becoming one of the largest Social Running Clubs in Toronto. As a club with runners of all fitness levels, we have room for everyone!

When do we meet and where do we run?

Every Saturday, 8:30 am (8:00 am June – October) by the Starbucks at 1960 Queen St (at Kenilworth). Confirm this on Facebook here:

We also meet informally on Wednesday evenings at 6:30pm and Sunday mornings at 8:30 am at the Running Room in the Beach. We also meet at other times to be determined and communicated via our weekly newsletters.

We also have our BRC Excelerate Program. Personalized coaching, $150 per session. Train smart for your next half or full marathon!

The Running Room is at 1977 Queen St E – conveniently located across from Starbucks and nearby many good post run watering holes!

We also schedule occasional special meet ups and fun runs throughout the year, weather and member interest dictates these group runs. Follow us on Twitter or Facebook to keep up to date with those runs.

We are a social running club located in Toronto’s lovely ‘Beaches’ area. We strive to create a fun, organized, friendly running club with the key goal to keep people active and healthy. We are be open to members of all ages. We off err support and guidance for those interested in becoming stronger runners at all distances.

  • We aim to increase awareness of the greatness of running and it’s social benefits throughout the Beach(es) area
  • We hope to get inspire people of all ages to get involved in running
  • Aside for group runs, members can meet and arrange group runs with other members at times that suit them.
  • We strive to maintain a fun, organized, friendly running community aimed at keeping people active and healthy, always ready to run their best. We are open to members of all ages. Coaching and support will be offered as well as guidance on the topics of road racing of all distances.

We hold our very own local annual races and fun runs such as the BRC Lighthouse Runs throughout the year such as the Bum Run 5k in April,  Joggin for the Noggin 5k in May, Beaches Jazz Run in July, and the Tannenbaum 10k in December.


Membership info and Fees

Membership is free! – This is a no frills, come and run with us kind of club. Optionally, you can purchase apparel and certain social events will be “pay as you attend”.

All members are asked to donate some time volunteering for an associated races within our running community ‘to give back’ at some point each year.
